Small Lava Pot

Black clay was used in this wheel thrown pot. After creating the piece the potter stretches it from inside to create the cracked effect. Then a glaze wash is applied and the rim and inside are poured leaving just a hint of molted blue. Remarkable effect!

Approximately 3' high and 5 1/2" wide.
